Service Description

Let’s clay together! Pottery is more than throwing on a wheel. With a project in mind, I will guide you through the process of slab rolling and hand building, all while experiencing the magical alchemy of getting your hands in Earth. You’ll make a thing! It will be fun and chill and not stressful. 
No prior experience needed! I will meet you wherever you’re at with your relationship to the creative process and clay. All you need is an openness to getting a little messy. In this class you will creating drinking vessels: mug(s), cup(s), and/or tumbler(s). I will instruct a slab method using patterns as well as a coil and pinch method. Each student starts with the same amount of clay and makes any number of vessels and sizes of your choosing from clay allotment. During your clay session you will choose 1 of 5 glazes which I apply between firings. Your piece will be ready for pick up 3 weeks later! Class is for ages 16 and up.
